Each corridor of the Airflex recovery floor is equipped with a series of flexible scraper blades. Blades rest on galvanised steel combs, allowing the flexible scraper to push or draw the abrasive. Comb and scraper blades are alternately passed over and passed through abrasive on the alternate stroke. The abrasive is pushed along with each alternate stroke when this motion is repeated. As the abrasives build up, they are eventually deposited in a transversal corridor that runs perpendicular to the rest of the floor. The abrasive is transferred to the elevator and the grit wash via this transverse passage.

#4. Pneumatic Abrasive Recovery Systems

Over a vast area, the pneumatic recovery floor enables for the pneumatic recovery of less dense media. We use a high-pressure blower to power an integrated set of valves that are linked to many recovery zones. The material in each of these areas is automatically removed by our control system as it rotates across them. • A re-classification sieve removes impurities that are too large or too small to pass through.
• Static charge is removed from the media using de-ionizers.
