After soldering the workstation, the spray booth is fitted. In the spray booth, the Arc Spray Gun is installed in the system. Depending on the size of tube/ pipe and spray model necessary to reduce spray wire losses, the spray gun distance from the tube/ pipe is modified. The seam Hot Weld is sprayed with zinc wire which results in a thick covering over the welded seam with a strong metallurgical bond.

The spray booth smokes and the fine zinc dust is absorbed into a cyclone dust collector by suction by the exhaust fan.

The zinc particles are held on the bottom of the cyclone dust collector because of the cyclonic motion and clean air is released from the blower outlet into the atmosphere. The Arc Spray Gun System consists of a two-wire DC/AC feeding system with an arc spray gun Power supply with a wire spool stand with 15kg spool capacity integrated into with control console. The power supply method is supplied by an electric motor pull method. The drive speed may be adjusted by the motor. Zinc spraying is a cold method, resulting in high bonding strength and low porosity in fine and thick grade coatings.

Coating Properties

Every layer of sprayed metal shows a degree of porosity (therefore it is necessary to apply a little more thick sprayed deposit than the hot-dip pre-coatings). The deposit sprayed has a beautiful silky look, surface finish. After spraying the deposit will be somewhat deformed by the sizable roll stations of the tube mill, to provide a flattened, partly bright look. Sizing also reduces the porosity of the surface. The sprayed layer is deformed and controlled.
