Working of HVOF Gun

The jet speed at the nozzle exit (>1000m/s) enhances the sound speed. In the gas stream, a powder feed material is inducted to accelerate the powder to 800 meters per second. The flow of heat gases and powder is directed at the surface of the layer. The powder melts and affects the substratum partly.

The coating of HVOF can be 6mm to 12mm thick. Most materials, such as ceramic or metal layers, were used. HVOF has been the best for tapestry coating (WC-Co).
