The tube is supplied by Electric Resistance Welding of the longitudinal plug on a tube framing facility.
Tubes with higher consuming resistance can be provided by the use of a pre-covered steel strip. The pre-covered steel strip is coated with zinc covering (galvanized) or aluminum covering (aluminized) (see several markings – Galvalume, Zincalume, Aluzinc, Zalutite, and Galfan).
The energy created by the welding region and the subsequent tooling activity to remove the welded blade destroys the outer coating of the welding zone unless the tube's space is taken away. A metal showering shop with material that carries the costs of comparable erosion safety characteristics to a strip precoated is used to reassure this welding damage.
The inline fixing methodology is the sole method that allows the creation of tubes with zinc, aluminum, or Zn/Al coatings to be adjustable.

Sand Blasting Hopper leading Seam Spraying of Pre-coated E.R.W Tube Manufacturers in India. In every sprayed metal shop shows a certain porosity level (consequently, the need to apply somewhat thicker poured stores than the pre-coatings, which are hot-plunge used). After showering, the estimation of motion stations at the tube manufacturer will distort the sprinkled shop considerably to provide a partly sparkling seem. Measurement action also reduces the porosity of the surface. The sprayed cover resists torsion and control.
For this purpose, Combustion Flame Spraying was previously used. Electric arc spray gives several enormous benefits over the flame spray combustion approach.
This includes:-
#1. Economic– energy costs are roughly one-10th that of the explosive spray systems while operating arc spray equipment. When the wire is not taken care of, no energy is sprayed by Arc spray systems (not like Flame Spray Gun systems for copying gases, if it is not wired).
Arc spray equipment usually needs less support and employs fewer additional components than Flame spray systems.
#2. Quality: The rate of throughput of the Arc spray systems may be varied flexibly from the size of the wire. Spray rates may thus be facilitated at a line speed in order, in all cases, to ensure the application of coating thicknesses, to operate the plant autonomously, and to make adjustments in spraying rates for the variation of inline speed.
#3. Safety—Systems using Arc sprays do not use hazardous gas.

Seam spraying of pre-coated E.R.W. (Electric Resistance Welded) tubes is a thermal spray process used to restore the protective coating on the welded seam after tube manufacturing. During welding, the original zinc or metallic coating at the weld area is removed due to high temperatures. A thermal spray gun applies molten zinc or other suitable metal onto the exposed seam, creating a uniform corrosion-resistant coating that matches the surrounding pre-coated surface and ensures complete protection.
The welding process exposes bare steel along the seam, making it vulnerable to corrosion if left untreated. Seam spraying immediately restores the protective metal coating, preventing rust formation and extending the service life of the tube. It also helps manufacturers meet corrosion protection standards and produce high-quality tubes suitable for outdoor, industrial, and structural applications.
A thermal spray gun feeds zinc or another metal wire into a flame or electric arc, where it is melted and atomized into fine particles. These molten particles are sprayed directly onto the moving weld seam, forming a tightly bonded metallic coating. The process is fast, efficient, and ideal for continuous tube mill production lines without slowing manufacturing speed.
The most common material is high-purity zinc wire, as it provides excellent sacrificial corrosion protection. Depending on customer specifications and operating conditions, aluminium wire, zinc-aluminium alloy wire, or other thermal spray wires may also be used. The choice of wire depends on the required corrosion resistance, environmental exposure, and coating performance.
Seam spraying systems are widely used in ERW tube mills, steel pipe manufacturing plants, construction, infrastructure projects, water supply systems, fencing, greenhouse structures, solar mounting systems, automotive component manufacturing, power transmission, and industrial fabrication industries. They are especially important where long-term corrosion resistance is required.
Seam spraying provides a continuous metallic coating that closely matches the original galvanized surface. It offers better adhesion, improved durability, faster production, uniform coating thickness, and superior corrosion protection compared to brush painting or manual repair methods. It is also more suitable for automated, high-speed manufacturing environments.
